On October 22-23, the Brilla Juniors ’98 Girls team represented the club in the Jackson FC Crossroads Tournament. Playing in a very tough bracket the team was able to finish with an undefeated record of 1-0-2, just missing out on advancing to the finals on goal differential. In their first game they played one of their rivals, the MS Fire 98G, a game that also counted as one of their Gulf States Premier League games. Both teams currently sit in a tie for first place in the GSPL Standings, neither team has conceded a goal in league play. After a well fought battle the game ended in a 1-1 tie. After a quick turn around the girls played another GSPL League opponent in Baton Rouge. The game ended in another draw with the score tied at 2-2. For the last game of bracket play on Sunday morning in a match against the Slidell Lightning the girls were able to pull out a 2-1 win to end a great tournament.
Great job girls and good luck in your next tournament!
