June 23, 2010 - Tampa, FL
After his four goal, one assist performance over the weekend in Atlanta and Nashville, Mississippi Brilla FC’s Moses Aduny was named the Premier Development League’s Player of the Week.
Aduny, from Uganda, has scored seven goals and two assists in seven matches this season, including Brilla’s Open Cup qualifer against Nashville in May.
Coach Dave Dixon said about Moses, "Moses has been a great addition to the team. Not only is he dangerous by himself, but he’s very unselfish and sets up others to score. I think he has a very bright future in soccer."
Aduny, who missed Mississippi’s June 5th match against the Nashville Metros after suffering a seizure the night before in training. He was thoroughly checked by doctors and released back to full activity the next week.
"We were very concerned for Moses’s health when he was taken to the hospital earlier this month," said Scott Taylor, VP of Operations for Brilla. "We are glad the doctors could find nothing wrong with him, and he’s back with the team on the field."
Aduny, and the rest of the Brilla team, host the Metros again this Saturday night at 7:00 PM at Harper Davis Field at Millsaps College.
