Mississippi Streaks Into The Playoffs
Mississippi Brilla FC has ended the 2010 regular season on a high note, and now hopes to ride the momentum into the playoffs. Mississippi is scheduled to host the Southern Conference Championship this weekend, as they welcome the Laredo Heat, Houston Leones, and Baton Rouge Capitals to Harper Davis Stadium on the campus of Millsaps College in Jackson, MS. Laredo (9-5-2), the Mid South Division Champions, is scheduled to take on the Southeast Division Runner-Up, Baton Rouge (9-2-3), in the first match of the weekend at 5:00 pm on Friday, July 30. Mississippi Brilla (11-0-3), the Southeast Division Champions, will host Houston (7-5-4), the Mid South Division Runner-Up, at 7:30 pm on Friday, July 30. The two winners will meet for the Conference Championship on Sunday, August 1 at 7:00 pm.

Mississippi Brilla Knocks Off Baton Rouge Capitals 1-0 to Remain Undefeated and Win Southeast Division Title
The Baton Rouge Capitals came into Harper Davis Field without a realistic chance of wrestling the Southeast Division Regular Season title away from Mississippi Brilla, needing to beat them by an eleven-goal margin. Both teams knew that was unlikely, but both had motivation to play hard. Brilla wanted to end the regular season undefeated, and the Capitals wanted to prevent that very event.

Mississippi Brilla FC Goes Kraze-y on Central Florida
Mississippi Brilla FC entered tonight’s matchup with the Central Florida Kraze wanting to pin down their second consecutive Southeast Division regular season title. Mississippi is now one step closer after blowing out the Kraze 7-2.
Moses Aduny started the scoring for Brilla in the 3rd minute after Nathaniel Foster pressured the Central Florida goalkeeper into a mistake. Foster deflected the goalkeeper's pass into Aduny’s path, allowing him to knock a slow roller into the Kraze net. Brilla waited only nine more minutes to double their lead when Foster scored a goal of his own.

Playoffs Clinched, Mississippi Closes Out Regular Season With Two Home Matches
Having clinched the playoffs with a 2-1 victory in New Orleans over the weekend, Mississippi Brilla FC turns its attention to its final two regular season matches. On Thursday, July 22, Mississippi (9-0-3) will host the Central Florida Kraze (6-4-2) at 7:00 pm at Harper Davis Stadium on the campus of Millsaps College. Two days later, Mississippi wraps up the 2010 regular season at home against the Baton Rouge Capitals (9-1-3). Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm.

Mississippi Brilla FC Takes Season Sweep of Jesters, Qualifies for Post-Season Play
Despite conceding an early goal to the New Orleans Jesters, Mississippi Brilla FC fought back to earn a 2-1 victory and clinch their second straight trip to the playoffs.
Brilla controlled the first few minutes before the Jesters wrestled control of the match, capitalizing on a Brilla mistake in the 12th minute when Richard Dixon tripped up his man on the edge of the Brilla penalty area to give away a penalty kick. Jesters’ midfielder Carl Reynolds slammed the ball home from the spot to give the Jesters the lead.

Mississippi Brilla FC Schools Ft. Lauderdale Schulz Academy 4-0
Mississippi Brilla FC moved one step closer to the playoffs on Thursday night after knocking off Ft. Lauderdale Schulz Acadmy 4-0.
It was a match that Brilla controlled from the very beginning. Mississippi held possession for long periods of time trying to figure out a way to unlock the Ft. Lauderdale defense that tried putting all eleven players behind the ball at all times. Schulz Academy’s commitment to defense was such when they won the ball, they would often only send one player on the attack.
